home essentials – midcentury classics, furniture, tableware, candles, lighting, plants, and vintage clothing.
much of our furniture and clothing has endured the test of time – passed on from one generation to the next – and it should last another lifetime.
the store has evolved accidentally.. grown out of a wider archiving project – preserving and studying craftsmanship and handmade clothing over the last century. I needed a physical space, a home for that archive, and I found it on Needham Road.
I figure; if you have a shop you might as well fill it with good things – simple pleasures that give joy to everyone connected by the process; from growers, makers, restorers, carriers and caretakers, and the homes these goods end up in.
if a shop can support a community of lives well lived, then there is purpose and meaning in that.
